Sri Bhu Neela Goda Dasaanjaneya sametha Sri Chennakesava Swamy Temple, Kankipadu.
Sri Bhu Goda Dasaanjaneya Sametha Sri Chennakesava Swamy Temple (Vishnavalayam), Kankipadu is a 400 year old temple. The swamy (Chennakesava swamy moolavar) was found in pond near by this temple so many years ago while digging it, the local people say.
For that reason a small scratch (gatu) is still there on the head of this lord Chennkesava Swamy Vigraham.

This temple was built by Reddy Rajas around 400 years ago. From the past 30 years this temple renovated by so many local people.The swamy contained CHAKRA in the left hand and SHANKHA in the right hand(usually it would be reverse to lord Vishnu).
In the year of 1952 new DHWAJA STHAMBHA prathishta was held by Valivatei .Koteswara Rao (late).
In the year of 1965 SRI GODHA DEVI Vigraha Prathishta was held by Ahobala Matha.
From the past Five generations two Vaikhanasa Families AGNIHOTHRAM & BRUNDAVANAM serving this lord Chennakesava Swamy.
To this lord poojas / archanas or held by SRI VAIKHANASA DIVYA AGAMA.
Festivals in the temple:
Vaikuntha Ekadasi (mukkoti) festival would conducted in this temple in grand manner. Thousands of the devotes from all over district (Krishna dt. A.P) will come to the temple on the to take the blessings of the lord of the lords Sri Chennakesava Swamy .
The UTTARA DWARA DARSHANA will start from 4:00 am on vaikunta ekadasi.On this day in the lord wiil give darshan as Vaikuntha Natha on garuda vahana from north side entrance of the temple with his two deveris.
A grand procession will be there after uttara dwara darshana .
The next biggest festival in this temple is Dasara (vijaya dasami).
On the day of vijaya dasami SEMEE POOJA WOULD performed along with SRI RAMALINGESWARA SWAMY (sivalayam) near sivalayam. After that a grand procession would conducted to both swamys (chennakesava swamy & rama lingeswara swamy).
On the day of BHOGI in Dhanurmasam Goda kalayam would conducted to lord.Special poojas /archanas will performed through out this month to swamy.
Besides those ugadi ,Hanuma jayanthi, Sravana masam (varalakshmi vratham ) , Vikhanasa jayanthi ,Kartheeka masam(kartheeka pournami) ,Dhanur masam(sankranthi) performed grandly in this temple.
